This book is great. It is the assigned text book for my sociology class in college. Our assignments are to read the social issue, summarize the yes and no articles, and give our reaction to them. Most of the social issues in this book are things that are very useful to know, that most of your average college students would not know before entering. Time to put your thinking cap on!!My suggestion: Don't buy it used from Amazon. The dealer that I worked with was a pain in the butt. He said he was shipping it out, and it never reached me. Week after week (since there was a 4 week delivery time frame!!) I waited, needing to get started on my assignments. Talk about stressful. 2 days before the last available delivery day the guy emailed me and said he was sorry he couldn't get the book to me, but a refund was on the way. Very strange. I'll think I'll use a book store next time.

It is not you guys it was just the book, The book was out dated and very dull. Not an enjoyable book to read.
Arrived on time and was as described....
I love this book. The main reason it isn't one sided on the social issues. It represents bought sides equally with great testimonies on why people real that way on the issue.
Good discussions about many topics
Forces you to look at situations from 2 sides and helps you understand opposing viewpoints. This series should be a requirement for high schools and colleges alike.
I did not end up using this book because there were multiple versions and it became complicated for all of the students after the semester started. My professor ended up saying we were not using this book, so I returned it as soon as I could. Shipped in a timely manner and I would buy from this seller again.
This book is in horrible condition. I have pictures of how it was received. I am expecting the company knows and is not going to attempt to charge me for the poor quality of the book I received.
